Recent Developments

So, here’s a bit of recent news for you all. I hope you enjoy.

Portfolio has been pulled from the marketplace. Simply put, when I was building Aardvark Joe’s Evil Game, I realized how poor of an application it was, there was many better competitors, and I decided to remove it. If there is any interest, I’ll start it up again, and make it better. But for now, it’s on hold.

Aardvark Joe’s Evil Game continues to make it’s rounds. It’s slowly but surely improving, and is actually becoming quite the decent program, if I do say so myself. I have recently put in place changes for additional compatibility, it looks well on small tablets. It has continued to improve in graphics, and now is more challenging if you get beyond level 7, to make it even more interesting.

I’ve also released a new project, which I am very excited about. The project is called Psychic Tester. It will detect if you have psychic abilities. Right now it is fairly limited, namely only testing if you can detect subliminal messages or predict a future random number, but there are going to be some really interesting tests coming soon.

Aardvark Joe’s Evil Game

So, it’s been quite a while since I’ve last posted, and I thought it’s time to post a note about Aardvark Joe’s Evil Game, our newest adventure.

Aardvark Joe’s Evil Game is basically a memory game. It starts out with simply pressing the number that you see appear at the top. This continues until you reach a certain number, or time runs out. Then the first level is over, and the game gets more interesting.

When a new level starts, then something odd happens. Instead of simply pushing the number that you see, a change has been made. In the example below, if the number 8 appears, you must select 3 instead.

Currently, Aardvark Joe’s Evil Game is at over 1000 downloads, and is at version 0.6.3. It has generally been well received, by those who have given it a good chance.

Right now, I need your help. I anticipate releasing version 0.6.4 soon. With it, I’m hoping to do some research to tweak the game. I’m trying to find out, is the game too easy, too hard, or just right?

I should also add, I have a lot of things to come with Aardvark Joe. I hope to be able to release them soon, but in large it depends on You. Thank you for your support!

Version 0.9.5 released. This build could also be called RC1

This newest version has some bug fixes, some slight speed enhancements, and most importantly, is feature complete. With a bit of work, I’ll be able to start the pro version of the app really soon. I’m really excited about this, it is getting really close to the state that is very usable. I myself have handed it to several people who don’t know much about Android, and they’ve been able to use it. It’s helped me to advertise my photography. Anyways, please let me know if you have any concerns, I really want to get this as polished of a product as possible. Thanks!

Version 0.9.0 of Portfolio Lite and other fun stuff

August 22, 2010 Leave a comment

So, right now I’m hard at work on version 0.9.0 of Portfolio Lite. It’s really coming along well. Here’s a few upcoming cool features I hope you’ll enjoy.

1) The ability to email photos (Pro will do it without a reference to the program)
2) Get more information and view stats on an album and image.
3) Hopefully a more intuitive interface
4) More galleries will be viewable.
5) A look at several features which will be available in the pro version.

There will be more cool stuff too, so hold on till I can get it out the door;-)The general idea is that this version will still have a few bugs, but will be a complete example of what will be coming out. I plan on fixing the bugs and releasing a 1.0 version before I really start working on the pro version (Alot of work is already done for the pro version, but, well, a bit more can’t hurt, so…)
